The Tampa Oktoberfest is a three-day festival, on October 13-15, 2023 held at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in October. It is one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations in Florida, and it attracts visitors from all over the country.


The festival features traditional German food, beer, music, and dancing. There is also a variety of vendors selling German crafts and souvenirs.


Here are some of the highlights of the Tampa Oktoberfest:

  • Traditional German food: The festival features a variety of traditional German food, such as classic Chicken Schnitzel, Jaeger schnitzel (with mushroom gravy sauce) and Spatzle, Traditional Bratwurst, Oktoberfest sausage, and frankfurters. There are also a number of food vendors selling modern German dishes.

  • German beer: The festival features a variety of German beer, including Pilsner or Pils, Marzen/ Oktoberfest, Dunkel, Hefeweizen, and Radler.

  • Live music: The festival features live German music, including oompah bands and polka bands. There is also a variety of other live music, such as rock, country, and pop.

  • Games: The festival features drinking games, old favorites, and new exciting challenges await competitors this year including Stein Hoisting, Keg Stacking, Carry the Wench, Tug-O-War, Grain Sack Toss, Corn Hole, and more. There are individual games along with team competitions of various sizes. The Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfest and the Beard Mustache Competition will be on Saturday, October 8th. All games are free to play.

  • Vendors: The festival features a variety of vendors selling German crafts and souvenirs. There are also a number of vendors selling food, drinks, and other items.
